However, you have recently discovered that the supplier is not respecting the terms of the contract by not delivering the materials on time. You decide to terminate the contract by sending a notice of termination.<\/p>\n<p>In this notice of termination, you inform the supplier that the contract will be terminated on a specific date, due to his non-compliance with the terms of the contract. This will enable your company to find a new supplier who will respect delivery deadlines and maintain a healthy and fair business relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Notice of termination is therefore an important tool for protecting your business interests and ensuring that contracts are respected. As a responsible company, it&#8217;s important to take steps to ensure that contracts are honored and that business relationships are fair to all parties involved.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Citation_and_reference\"><\/span>Citation and reference<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Here are a few quotes from Canadian law regarding notice of termination:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; An Act respecting labour standards (Quebec): &#8220;An employer who intends to terminate an employee&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/avocat-montreal.ca\/en\/employment-lawyer-montreal\/\">employment<\/a> contract must give the employee written notice of termination. This notice must be served on the employee at least two weeks before the planned termination date if the employee has less than one year&#8217;s continuous service with the same employer.&#8221; (article 82)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Canada Labour Relations Act: &#8220;An employer who intends to terminate an employee&#8217;s contract of employment must give the employee written notice of termination. Such notice must be served at least two weeks prior to the intended termination date if the employee has less than one year&#8217;s continuous service with the same employer.&#8221; (article 230)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ontario Employment Standards Act: &#8220;An employer who terminates an employee&#8217;s contract of employment must give the employee written notice of termination.
