Failing a reply within that time, you will be deemed to have consented. You may refuse only for a serious reason, which must be given to me in writing.<\/p>\n<p>I remain responsible to you for the obligations of the lease during the sublease.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n<p>[Signature]<br \/>[First and last name]<\/p>\n<h2>Drafting notes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The tenant must notify the lessor of the intention to sublet, giving the name and address of the subtenant (art. 1870 C.C.Q.); the lessor may refuse only for a serious reason (art. 1871 C.C.Q.).<\/li>\n<li>Failing a reply within 15 days, the lessor is deemed to have
